Evaluation

Evaluation

1) In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of the media products?
Here shows some frame/screen shots of parts of our film. The shots show that most of our film was continual however the storyline with the two characters was monatage, the use of the two characters gave the initial idea of the film, the same loaction shows this aswell. In some parts of the film we did ellipsis whihch meant that we sped a few scenes up. The part when the male actor is entering the house and when the female actress is running a bath, we sped these scenes up, we didnt speed it up by lots as it would look un-natural, we had to do it to the right speed. Another use of speeding it up was that initially our film was too long so we had to make it shorter, speeding it up helped us do this.

2) How does your media product represent particular socail groups?

3) What kind of media institutions distritbute your media product and why?

4) Who would be the audience for your media product?

For our film we wanted our target age group around the same age as us; we thought that it would be better to base a film around what we would like. The chosen target audience was 15 - 18 year olds. The image to the left is a picture of 4 students holding up signs of the target audience , we chose these students as they were ages between 15 and 18.

5) How did you attract/address your target audience?
Here is a questionnaire that we created for our target audience to do after they had finished watching our film opening. The questionnaire was designed to shows the target audiences reactions and what they thought about our film. I made the questionnaire for our team to then hand out to people who watched our film. We had good responces which we were very happy with, one common thing that was said to be improved on was the acting skills however everything else the target audience thought was done very well and to a high standard.

6) What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?

7) Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to full product?
