Director's Pitch/ Treatment for Film Opening

As a group we had to think about the directors pitch and the film opening as a whole. On the link to the left you can see the basic outline of the plot and how it will appear to the audience when they watch it. The generic features of the film were very key to highlight and so was the resources needed and location. Permission for location was not exactly needed as it will be at a private home location. Because it is going to be at a memebers of the casts house then there was no need to get a permission slip or anything. The loctaion being at Wills house is perfect for the setting of our film, his long drive way will be excellent to use in our film. Finally we looked at key shots nd special features. We already had in mind what type of shots we wanted and so lucky for us the location was perfect for filming these perfect shots.

Storyboards


This is the first part of the storyboard in which we chose for our filming. To hlep us decide whihch storyboard was best we asked a number of people which one they thought would be most interesting to watch and so chose from there onwards. We also took into consideration whether the film would be easy to film/make and also whether it was a suitable genre for our target audience we chose.

This is another storyboard that we had a choice of. This storyboard plot idea was mine and i draw it up aswell. Personally i believe that this idea is very realistic and could easily be done, however we asked a few people for the target audience and they prefered the other storyboard.

This film opening wouldn't be full of shots however the shots would be held on for a long time to fill up the 2 minutes. This film opening have a combinations of long shots and close-ups which would be ideal for a beginning of a film.
